The system of using of digital tachographs in the process of road transport in the Republic of Tajikistan was introduced by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 7, 2011, #503 “On the use of digital tachographs in international road transport” in order to ensure compliance with international obligations under the European Agreement regarding the activities of crews (carriers) of vehicles engaged in international road transport.

Tajikistan became a member of this system as well as Romania, Bulgaria, the Philippines, Norway, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Cyprus and Kazakhstan.

The Republic of Tajikistan over the past year and at the beginning of 2020 made a significant contribution to development of the international road transport.

In accordance with the signed Contract (#1-MK dated October 26, 2011) between the State institution “Road Transport and Logistic Services” of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan and the “Certsign Company” based in Bucharest (Romania), the digital national tachograph cards (company/enterprise, driver, repair station, controller) were issued and approved.

This month, the first digital national tachograph cards were registered in coordination with the competent authorities of the European Union. These tachograph cards were handed over to drivers and supervisory staff during the meeting held on February 4, 2020 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Ms. S.Saidmurodzoda.

In this regard, it is expected to increase the volume of international passenger and freight traffic in the direction to the Europe.
