INVITATION FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

    This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the EBRD website, Project Procurement Notices, on 29 April 2016 (http://www.ebrd.com/work-with-us/procurement/p-pn-160429a.html).

 The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, hereinafter referred to as “the Client”, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, hereinafter referred to as “the Bank”, and from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank towards the cost of Dushanbe – Uzbek border Road Improvement Project.

 The Client intends prequalifying firms and consortia to tender for the following contract, hereinafter referred to as “the Contract”, to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loans:

      Upgrade of M41 road section between the Avicenna Monument and the West Gate, km 0 – km 1.2, km 1.94 – km 4.0, km 4.0 – km 4.9

 The scope of work involves amongst others construction of following structures / Facilities

 Section km 0 – km 1.2:

• Construction of a three-level interchange at km 0.327.
• Construction of a two-level interchange at the roundabout at intersection of N. Maksum Prospekt and Maykovskogo Street.
• Construction of an overpass at km 0.827.
• Construction of retaining wall at km 0.123 – km 0.267; km 0.388 – km 0.532 at A. Sino Prospekt 730 m.
• Reconstruction of the pedestrian underpass at km 0.083.
• Construction of pedestrian underpasses at km 0.585, km 0.103, at km 0.38.

 Section km 1.9 – km 4.0

• Construction of a two-level interchange at km 2.183.
• Construction of one-level interchanges at km 3.013 – km 3.115.
• Construction of pedestrian underpasses at km 3.1 83.
• Construction of an overpass at km 2.150.
• Construction of 600m-long retaining wall at Bagovuddinova Street; 

 Section km 4.0 – km 4.9

• Construction of one-level interchanges at intersection of N. Makhsuma on km 4.520 – km 4.6.
•  Construction of one-level interchange on km 4.867 at West Gate Dushanbe.
• Construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls on km 4.702 and on km 4.4 – km 4.776.

 The estimated completion period is two years followed by one year of the defect notification period.

 Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country.
