Strengthening Critical Infrastructure against Natural Hazards Project Republic of Tajikistan

Contract Title: Constructionof 9 bridges in Vanj and Rushan dictricts of GBAO

Reference No. (as per Procurement Plan): SCINHP/W-ICB-01

1. The Republic of Tajikistan has receivedfinancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Strengthening Critical Infrastructure against Natural Hazards Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Construction of 18 bridges in GBAO.

2. The Ministry of Transport now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Construction n of 9 bridges in Vanj and Rushan districts of GBAO. The project provides construction of 9 bridges with road approaches, 3 of is under construction on the location of existing bridges, and 6 bridges is under construction near to the existing ones.

3. Bidders may bid for one or several contracts.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers  dated January 2011 and revised in July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Transport and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 09:00 to 17:00 hours at the address below.

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English in PDF format may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of 300 TJS or equivalent amount in any convertible  currency.

7. Bids in the sealed envelopes must be delivered to the address below on or before April 25, 2019 15:00 (Dushanbe time).  Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on April 25, 2019 15:00 (Dushanbe time).    

8. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 1 400 000,0 TJS or equivalent amount in any convertible currency.
